csstats.gg demo viewer: watching the demo behind a match
A csstats.gg match page holds statistics about a game, not the game's recording. There is no demo behind that link to fetch.
The demo lives with whoever ran the server: Valve for Premier and matchmaking, the platform for FACEIT and other leagues. Copy the match sharing code and paste that instead. For FACEIT, use the Watch in 3D extension in the matchroom, or download the demo and drop it in. The match opens in 2D, and 3D is PRO.
Can I paste a csstats.gg link to watch the demo?
No. A stats page describes a match without hosting its recording. Memorin's paste box does not take that link: it says the text does not look like a match link, share code or demo link. Open the match on the platform where it was played, then use its share code or demo file.
A good stats page looks like it must have the demo. It shows the scoreboard, the economy and who killed whom. All of that came from a demo once, but numbers are not the file. The site kept the numbers and has no duty to keep the recording.
The same holds for every stats site, not one product. The paste box gives the same answer for popflash.site, scope.gg and refrag.gg links.
What can I paste instead?
- Premier or matchmaking: open CS2, go to Watch, then Your Matches, and copy the code. It looks like

- Leetify: paste the match link.
- A file you have: drop it in.

A temporary download link, one with a signature or expiry in it, is refused. It would stop working within minutes. Paste a share code or a Leetify match link, or download the file and upload it.

So a stats page is a good place to choose which match to review, and the wrong place to get it from. Find the game where your numbers fell, then fetch that game's share code.
What do I get once the demo is open?
The match in the real map, from any position, at any moment. With PRO, the 3D view adds POV to see what a player had, free camera to see what was there, x-ray and real smoke volumes. The 2D radar, the round timeline and the review panel are free.
A stats page can say you lost four opening duels on A. The replay can show that three were the same peek around the same corner at the same time. Then you can turn that death into a playable Replay Moment (PRO) and practise the answer.

What if the share code works but there is no demo?
Then the recording no longer exists, and nothing can bring it back. When Valve's match service answers a share code without a demo address, there is nothing to download from anywhere.
