CS2 demo viewer online

Watch a CS2 demo online, in this browser tab, with nothing to install. Drop a Counter-Strike 2 .dem or paste a match share code, and the recorded match plays back on the real 3D map with player movement, weapons, utility, HUD, audio and timeline controls. Pro matches open with no account at all, and the same replay opens as a 2D radar view that runs on a phone.

Short answer

Yes, you can watch a CS2 demo online, free. The Memorin 3D Demo Viewer rebuilds the recorded demo as an interactive scene in your browser — not a flat video, and not only a 2D radar. There is no game client, no demo player to install and no launch options. You can watch pro matches with no account; a free Steam sign-in adds your own demo, one a day.

How to watch a CS2 demo online

  1. Open a match with no account. Pick a pro match or one of the free sample demos. They play straight away, with no sign-in.
  2. Sign in with Steam to add your own. A free account adds one demo a day. Signing in is what lets the server keep a demo that belongs to you.
  3. Add the demo. Drop a .dem, .dem.gz, .dem.zst or .dem.bz2 file as it is, or paste a CS2 match share code (CSGO-…), a Leetify match link or a direct link to a demo file. Nothing needs unzipping.
  4. Watch it in 3D or 2D. The match plays back on the real map with a round timeline. Press O to switch between the 3D world and the 2D radar; the playhead and the player you follow carry over.
  5. Take over a moment. Open a Replay Moment from the match, watch how the round really went, then take control from the same position and play it your way.

Links from stats sites that carry no demo of their own cannot be imported; the viewer tells you the next step that works. The 3D viewer has real map geometry for ten maps: Ancient, Anubis, Cache, Dust2, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, Overpass, Train and Vertigo. Having trouble with the game's own demo download? 3D or 2D, and every camera

Both views play the same replay and share the timeline, the round list and the player you follow, so switching costs nothing.

The keys are listed in CS2 demo viewer controls.

Take over a moment

This is the part a demo player does not do. Memorin finds the moments in a match — the deaths and clutches — and turns each into a Replay Moment: you watch how the round really went, then take control from the same position, with the same utility, health and clock, and try a different decision. Your attempt is graded, and your best result is kept.

Recorded evidence, not invented gameplay

The viewer follows the state available in the demo cache. Playback uses integer-tick precision; commands that were never recorded are not reconstructed as if they were known. The methodology pages explain which facts are recorded, derived or unavailable. The physics behind the takeover is documented in the CS2 mechanics reference.

Questions

Can I watch a CS2 demo online without downloading anything?

Yes. Memorin is a CS2 demo viewer that runs online in your browser: upload a .dem file or paste a match share code, and the match plays back in full 3D. There is nothing to install and no separate demo client to download.

How do I watch a CS2 demo with a share code?

Copy the share code in CS2 under Watch, Your Matches, then paste it into Memorin after signing in with Steam. The server asks Valve where that recording is, downloads and unpacks it, and opens the match in 3D. It works while Valve still keeps the recording.

Is this CS2 demo viewer free?

Yes, there is a free tier. Pro matches, the sample demos and the daily moment need no account. A free Steam sign-in watches demos and adds one demo a day, kept on the server for 48 hours, and your browser keeps its own copy. PRO adds unlimited demos with 30-day storage and more.

Which demo files can I open?

Counter-Strike 2 .dem files, and the compressed downloads as they arrive: .dem.gz and .dem.zst from FACEIT and .dem.bz2 from Valve. You do not unzip anything first. CS:GO demos are a different game and are not supported.

Can I watch FACEIT or HLTV demos?

Yes. Download the demo and drop the .dem.gz or .dem.zst file in as it is. With the Watch in 3D browser extension installed, a WATCH IN 3D button on a finished FACEIT matchroom or an HLTV match page sends the demo to Memorin for you.

Can I watch a CS2 demo without opening CS2?

Yes. Memorin parses a CS2 .dem and presents the match as a full 3D replay in a supported browser, so you do not need to launch the game client to review it.

Which camera views are available?

The viewer includes player POV, follow player, free camera, top-down and Multiple POVs views, with a timeline for rounds and recorded events.

Should I use the 3D or the 2D demo viewer?

Use 3D to see what a player could actually see: the real map, sight lines, smokes and the first-person view. Use 2D to read positions, rotations and utility across the whole map at once. Both play the same demo, so you can switch at any moment with the O key.

Does the demo viewer work on a phone?

Yes. The 2D radar view is the one built for phones: it downloads no map geometry and supports pan, pinch zoom and tap to follow a player. The 3D view runs in any browser with WebGL, but it downloads the map and does more work, so a phone is better served by 2D.

Which maps are supported?

The 3D viewer rebuilds ten maps with their real geometry and lighting: Ancient, Anubis, Cache, Dust2, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, Overpass, Train and Vertigo.

Are uploaded CS2 demos private?

Private demos and parsed replay data are available only to the account that uploaded them. Memorin retains private demos and derived caches for 30 days on PRO and 48 hours on the free tier, and account controls let users delete individual demos or their account.

How is this different from watching a demo in CS2?

The in-game player needs Counter-Strike 2 installed and plays the demo inside the game. Memorin needs only a browser and adds the 2D radar, match review and Replay Moments. One limit: Memorin plays back at whole-tick precision, while the game's own player is sub-tick.

What is a Replay Moment?

A Replay Moment is a real situation from a real match that you can play yourself. Memorin rebuilds the positions, utility, health and clock, then hands you control so you can try a different decision.
