You cannot run the full Counter-Strike 2 game in a browser — it is a desktop game on Steam. What you can play in a browser tab is Memorin's browser Deathmatch: solo against bots or in open rooms, with CS2 weapons, movement and a first-person HUD. It is free with a Steam sign-in, and it runs anywhere WebGL does.
Solo, open rooms and private practice
- Play solo against bots without creating a server room.
- Create a browser room or join an available open match.
- Use the first-person HP, armor, ammo, money and weapon HUD while playing.
- Track the live mini leaderboard, awards and full Deathmatch scoreboard.
- Private rooms with a password are part of PRO; everything else here is free.
One shared combat stack
Deathmatch uses Memorin's shared weapon specifications, shooting, recoil, spread, hit registration, damage, movement and audio systems. It is a real mode within the same application, not a separate promotional mini-game.
More CS2 you can play in a browser
- Walk any map, no account. Open a CS2 map in 3D and move through it in first person.
- Play the daily moment, no account. A real situation from a real match, handed to you to play.
- Take over your own rounds. Replay Moments turn a death in your demo into a situation you replay.
The long answer, with every option and its limits, is in can you play CS2 in a browser.
